SCENAR Therapy

SCENAR is a non-invasive, non-toxic, computer modulated, therapeutic electro-stimulation device.
The SCENAR acronym stands for Self Controlled Energo Neuro Adaptive Regulator. It was originally developed for the Russian Cosmonauts so they would have a means of treating themselves in orbit, without the need to take drugs.

SCENAR is a form of reflex biofeedback. It works by stimulating the brain with a constantly varying signal that causes it to instruct your nervous system to generate Neuropeptides, the key biochemicals needed by your body to heal itself.

As we age our brain tends to become accustomed to a disease or injury rather than aggressively enabling the generation of the neuropeptides needed to affect a complete recovery. Hence, wherever the SCENAR electrode touches the body the computer controlled biofeedback stimulates the neuropeptide-generating c fibres of the nervous system into to action.

Simply put, the SCENAR listens to the body by recording the skin’s galvanic response, (its electrical impedance) to it’s signal and then returns a newly modified signal back to the body.  The SCENAR device “listens” to the reply, creating a biofeedback and healing loop. This biofeedback loop kick starts the body’s own intrinsic healing mechanisms into action. Hence, people experience a tingling sensation whilst the device is being applied.

SCENAR has been used to assist in pain management and relief in all types of disorders, whether they be: circulatory, respiratory, neurological, genitourinary, endocrine, musculoskeletal, immune, gastrointestinal and even psychological discomfort.
